About

COFFEE

Coffee is important to me and maybe to you! I have been interested in coffeeshop culture and coffee as routine since I was a teenager. I worked in coffee shops for several years as a barista and bar manager, I briefly worked as an espresso machine technician before I was fired, and have a dumb amount of coffee knowledge in my brain (though in a lot of ways, the more you know, the less you know.)

ABOUT THESE BEANS

In 2015 I worked at a coffee shop called Pushcart Coffee at 25th and 9th Avenue in New York City. There were two roasters and head baristas there who taught me so not only how to be a barista, but how coffee functioned as a science and an export. Now many years later, those two guys run their own roastery under the name Unity Sourcing & Roasting. I reconnected with them and we shared the same vision of creating something cool together. They personally go to countries of origin, meet with the growers, ethically source and export beans back to Los Angeles, and roast them to perfection.

They have more information about their processes and philosophy at https://unity.coffee/

WHATS LITERALLY GOOD WITH THIS

I am a huge believer that coffee brings people together. I wanted to create a coffee company that not only delivered great product to people, but made content that allowed newcomers to easily dip their toes into the hobby.

The world of coffee CAN be pretentious, expensive, snoody, and annoying - but it doesn't have to be! I am super excited to create a coffee brand that feels accessible, encouraging, fun, and still gives people access to high caliber coffees that melt your face off.

More to come, thanks for being here.
